The council is pleased to be able to resume weekly blue recycling bin collections as staff levels have been better than planned for when the council moved to fortnightly blue bin collections due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Weekly blue bin collections have resumed
Councillor Cohen, Chairman of the Environment Committee, said: “We would like to thank our front-line and operational staff for their hard work and commitment during these unprecedented times, which has allowed us to return to weekly collections so rapidly whilst also ensuring weekly black refuse bin collections continue. We would also like to thank all those residents and their children who left pictures and messages of support on their bins, which were greatly appreciated.”
Collections will take place weekly on residents' scheduled collection day. Residents should leave their bin at the boundary of their property from 6am on their collection day as normal.
