Our Community Safety Team tackles incidents of:
Anti Social Behaviour that occur in public spaces within the Borough, or that are linked with private dwellings. We work to both reduce incidents of ASB, and to minimise the harm caused by these incidents.
Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) are intended to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a particular area that is detrimental to the local community’s quality of life
ASB Environmental crime
- Littering: General Waste Litter is everything from food packaging to cigarette butts and chewing gum. It can also include feeding birds, spitting and urinating.
- Fly-posting: displaying advertising material on buildings and street furniture without the consent of the owner.
- Fly-tipping: the illegal dumping of waste. It can vary in scale significantly, from a bin bag of rubbish to larger bulky waste items dumped, such as mattresses or white goods.
