Search the building control archive
Records relating to Building Control applications are only retained for 15 years and will likely contain the following information:
- Approved/accepted proposals and design principles
- Decision Notices
- Records of any works carried out by professional consultants on behalf of the service
- Records of consultations
- Records of site inspections
- Certificates and notices including Completion
In order to carry out a search of these records, we require signed written consent from either the owner of the property in question or a firm of solicitors made on company headed paper. There is a non-refundable fee for this service.

Please Note: that plans are protected under Copyright Law and cannot be reproduced without the expressed consent of the original copyright owner (the producer of the drawings, not the person for whom it was produced). This type of copyright is valid for 70 years after the death of the producer of the drawings.
