Who can get a Disabled person’s band reduction
If you or another person you live with has a disability, you may be able to receive a discount on your Council Tax bill.
The property must be the main home of at least 1 person with a disability. This can be an adult or a child and it doesn’t have to be the person responsible for paying the Council Tax.
How much you can get off your bill
You will need to check your property band if you do not know it.
If your property is currently in bands B to H, your Council Tax will be reduced to the band below.
If your property is in band A, your Council Tax bill will be reduced by one ninth of the band D charge.
